Telluride Airport

Telluride Airport  is located 5 miles west of downtown Telluride on a plateau slightly higher than Telluride at an elevation of 9,078 ft above sea level. The airport is currently the highest operational airport in North America.  The airport has only one runway and can accommodate for smaller commercial aircrafts and private jets.  Telluride airport provides locals and visotors a direct and easy way to get in and out of telluride.  Due to elevation and weather conditions, the airport may have to divert air trafic to nearby regional airports. It usually takes less than 20 minutes to drive from the airport to almost any location in Telluride and Mountain Village.
